Guidance for Adding Quantities for DGC 2.1

The quantity of gas in a package, e.g., a cylinder is based on the water capacity (WC); which refers to the number of litres of water that would be required to fill the cylinder. However, the labelling usually indicates the mass of gas intended to hold. To determine the volume of a gas cylinder, look for the stamp on the cylinder neck or foot ring, usually accompanied by a “WC” mark.
